Hot Gas Valve
a. Check for bent stem (1); missing pin (2), spring
(3), or washer (4). Replace if parts are missing or
damaged.
b. Check that valve seats by pulling up stem. If
stem moves, the spring is weak. Replace hot gas
valve.
c. Check for proper stem travel by pushing down
on stem. If binding occurs, replace valve.

Check for missing, cut, or torn gasket. Replace (P.

4-108) if missing or damaged.

a. Inspect components for rust, corrosion, chipped
