ADJUSTMENT OF IDLER ARMS
The idler arms must be adjusted to a position that releases all tension on the belts when the levers
are in the neutral position and applies full tension on the belts when the control levers are moved to
the run position. To adjust the clutch idler arms, proceed as follows:
A Loosen the two adjusting nuts on the operating rod.
B Adjust the nuts along the operating rod until the belt is free from tension and the shaft can be
easily turned by hand.
C Push the control lever to the run position and be sure that full tension is applied to the belts.
Check to be sure that the shaft can be easily turned by hand when the control lever is in the
neutral position.
D When satisfactory adjustment is obtained, tighten the adjusting nuts firmly against the pivot
block.
