(10) If battery specific gravity is not adequate, remove battery from vehicle (para 4-18b) and charge. While

charging check battery specific gravity every 30 minutes. The batteries are fully charged when you get a

constant reading for three 30-minute intervals.

(11) During charging, check the electrolyte level frequently. Add distilled water when necessary.

NOTE

Batteries should be charged at least once a month while in storage. (12) If a

battery fails to take or hold a charge, replace.
