Section I. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF EQUIPMENT
4-1. UNPACKING AND CHECKING THE EQUIPMENT
a. Visually inspect the Shipping Container for evidence of damage or mishandling during storage or shipment.
Carefully remove container and all barrier material from unit.
b. Inspect the unit for damage incurred during shipment. If equipment has been damaged, report the damage on DD
Form 6, Packaging Improvement Report.
c.  Check the equipment packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in accordance with
DA PAM 738-750.
4-2. INSTALLATION
a. Location. Locate recharging unit in a convenient location close to an electrical service facility connection and in a
well-ventilated area, away from excessive smoke or fumes.
b. Assemble and install tilt rack.
c.  Power source. Connect a length of No. 6 AWG or larger cable from motor ground terminal to a suit able ground;
then connect power cable to 115 volt, 60 HZ, Single phase Service facility.
