3. POWER TO BLACKOUT LIGHT UNIT BUT BULB DOES NOT LIGHT.
Step 1. Check to see that bulb is tight in socket and making good contact.
If bulb is loose in socket, tighten it.
Step 2. Check socket for damage.
Replace socket if damaged. If not, replace bulb.
4. POWER TO FLUORESCENT LIGHT UNIT BUT BULB(S) DOES (DO) NOT LIGHT.
Step 1. Check for smoke or burnt smell from ballast. If smoke or burnt smell is present, inspect the ballast.
Replace ballast if burnt.
Step 2. Check to see that bulbs are tight in socket and making good contact.
Tighten bulb if loose in socket.
Step 3. Check sockets for damage.
Replace socket(s) if damaged. If not, replace bulb(s).
Step 4. Test light unit by replacing the new bulb with one that is known to be good.
If the bulb that is known to be good does not light, proceed to Step 5.
Step 5. Inspect inside the light unit for loose or broken connections.
If loose or broken connections are found, repair them. If none are found, replace the ballast.
MECHANICAL
5. CHAIR TIEDOWN FAILS TO ENGAGE WHEN OPERATED.
Step 1. Check to see that tiedown pin is set to proper height (paragraph 3-5a)
Reset pin if not at proper height.
