Mode B (Stressed Mode)
When you are operating in a satellite communications link that is being pulse jammed, set the controls on your encoder-
decoder as shown in table 2-9. If your encoder-decoder is located at the transmit end 4. of the communications link, the
ENCODER MODE select switch should be set to the B position. If your encoder-decoder is located at the receive end of
the communications link, the DECODER MODE select switch should be set to the B position. If you are transmitting and
receiving information, both the ENCODER MODE select switch and the DECODER MODE select switch should be set to
the B position. For proper operation, the encoder-decoder at the transmit end of the communications link must have the
ENCODER MODE select switch set to the B position and the encoder-decoder at the receive end of the communications
link must have the DECODER MODE select switch set to the B position.
